Platform Rocker and Chair

Hello,

Unfortunately, I do not have any information about these items. One is a platform rocker and the other is a stationary chair. The black seat base material has markings from New Bedford, MA and nothing else. I can not find any makers mark anyway for these items.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! I would also like to hear suggests on cleaning without damaging the finish. What style, color and fabric of cushion would match. Also, thoughts regarding the removal/minimizing the scratches. This set was being thrown out by a craigslist posting and I would like very much to restore it and bring it back to life in my home.
