ministeiff tabby on trunk

I think this is a very rare early steiff marked Germany on bottom of the trunk. The trunk opens. 4" tall, painted velvet tabby cat with glass eyes. The clasp on the trunk is very distinctive. I love this piece. I found it in a bag of Russian collectible dolls I bought .
