This is a Metamec desk clock that makes an impression because of its case. The case is made to simulate mother-of-pearl and the color truly highlights the clock face. The clock was made in England by Metamec which I believe is a shortened version of (MET)al (A)nd (MEC)hanics. The only downfall with this clock is that the movement is only a 24 hour wind-up (it is accurate but has to be wound every day). I don't know when it was made.
