Hello All! I bought this ashtray almost 30 years ago in a Thrift Store. I have no idea what the insignia means or who the manufacturer is. It's about 5" x 5" square, turquoise with a gold wash glaze. I can make out what looks like a dog in the middle, but not much else. Could it be military? Any help is appreciated!

I saw an insignia for Blackhawk Hotels in Minnesota, that was similar, in an ashtray on line, but no bottom mark. :^)

Here's one, they call it Arizona USA Pottery:

Here's a little more info, from another one, Mid Century Loma Arizona Southwestern Trinket Tray Ashtray, Vintage Art Pottery Hand Painted.
The glaze, and design on your piece are different but the shape is the same, it could also have been made by another company, as a blank for Loma Arizona Pottery, and others, then finished, and glazed, by them.
      Hope this helps! :^)

Thanks for all your suggestions! It looks most like the Arizona USA Pottery to me. Although the "Trinket Tray" is a similar shape, it's motif is painted on, not 3-dimensional like mine. But if I follow the "Arizona" clue, possibly there is some Native American aspect to the design. I will follow that trail and see where it leads me. Thanks again!!
