The Cleveland Short Line Railway was chartered in 1902 as a bypass around Cleveland. The first part opened in 1912 and the line was completed in 1912. In 1915 the line was taken over by the New York Central. Today, the line is part of CSX. The vignette on this certificate is a true work of art.
