Foo Dog or shishi, with Quan-yin.

I have not been able to find any similar item online. This is a very large piece. 16" long, 18" tall. Mud was applied on the glaze, ( I can wipe it off) but there is also a small amount of brown on the glaze here and there. There is a felt protector on the base that is undamaged. The eyes of the lion are removable and just hook into the eye socket. I have a feeling this might be somewhat new, made for a restaurant or retail place, perhaps. Still, it is odd that I cannot find anything similar anywhere else. I believe the human figure might be Quan yin, though I am not sure. It does not have the full, oblong face that other images do of her, and actually, this figure almost looks masculine, which is what I think Quan Yin was originally.
I'd love to know if anyone has any suggestions!
