I just received this flag as part of a group of WW2 Japanese items I bought from a dealer in Japan.

It is constructed of sewn cotton panels. The flag is very well made with high quality cloth. I believe it is from the WW2 era.

The flag colors do not appear to be faded. It measures approx 64 cm by 96 cm.

It is similar in design to Chinese national and Buddhist flags from the early 1900s.
