This is one of the sweetest all bisque dolls ever produced in Germany. His name is Chubby and was made by Louis Wolf & Co., in Germany, and his original label is on his chest. Darling little googly face, with exaggerated round eyes looking to the side and sweet little mouth. He has molded brown hair with a top knot and lots of brush strokes especially with a lock of hair falling on his little forehead. He wears his molded union suit. He has a very round tummy and his jointed arms are made in such a way that they rest on his tummy--I believe this little doll, Chubby, is the only all bisque doll that has this very special feature, arms resting flat on his chubby tummy. Superb quality bisque, Good condition with with only a chip on the thumb. He is 4 1/4" high. c. 1910 made in Germany. He is quite rare to find, especially with the original label. The second one has a clean break to the neck (clean enough you could glue it without seeing a crack) Unfortunately he is missing an arm. but could be used for parts or to restore. This is extremely rare to find one let alone two of these dolls. The broken doll has a different label that reads "S.H.K Co. Germany".

Great Dolls. I would think a good china repair service could repair both dolls (thumb and neck) and use the first dolls arm to make a replacement for the second. I think it may worth the investment. Wonderful they both have original labels.
