Camaro guitar - anyone heard anything about these?

Hey guys, I've got this cool guitar, and I'm hoping maybe somebody knows something about it. I haven't been able to find much info on it online.

The headstock reads "Camaro." It's a hollow body electric (as you can likely tell from the pics) but I can't find anything about it online. It's made in Japan, and "made expressly for the Canadian conservatory of music"
