I have this Jade Pendant from my husbands mother. I need help with finding its history and the translation of the writing. It has a fine braided wrap and is rather thick it measures 1.5" round. The chain attached seems to be the original. It seems to be gold with the exception of the clasp which is slightly tarnished and reads (from what I can tell, N Sterling). Thank you for any crumbs of discovery.
It says Shou or longevity

And I believe the N Sterling would be "Nickle" Sterling.
This is great! Longevity would be accurate as she will be 94 yrs old in April.
