This is a family heirloom. I only know that it has been in my family for decades. I have never seen a desk like this and was wondering if anyone knows more about it. It has hinges and the desk is hidden inside the small table and is folded out. I cannot find any markings. My family has resided in NY with origins from Germany. The desk has ink wells and I still have a quill pen, metal tip pen, and an original ink bottle.

i think that it's a campaign desk - to travel around with an officer during wartime.

need to see the wheels and legs better. the hinges may also give a better idea of a date and origin.
