JOHN RYAN EXCELSIOR MINERAL WATER 1859 SAVANNAH, GA Cobalt blue. This bottle dates from 1859 to 1865. Also shown is a newspaper ad from 1859. Ryan was unable to run his bottling business during the Civil War and many of his bottles were lost/damaged/stolen. In 1866 after the war ended, he had a different style of bottle made for his soda water.
