I don't know anything about this piece. It belonged to my grandmother who was born in 1915. I'm guessing it was handed down to her. I found a victorian-era wedding dress inside that I think is great-grandmother's. The interior has a cool wooden tray/cubby whose top matches the shape of the dome.
