    Found this cleaning out my basement, I think my mom gave it to me. I almost threw it out but a friend told me it was antique and a slag lamp? Never heard of that but trying to learn more about it.

      Yes it is a slag lamp, simpler version, as they can get pretty ornate. Just google images for slag lamp and you should see many !
