old water well pump made by 2 Red Jacket mfg. Davenport, Iowa I bought this at an auction in Kansas, only thing I'm missing is a well :) I can't decide if I should paint it or not. not sure if it's age, any ideas?

I am not sure of it's age , but I can tell you that this pump was made to go in the kitchen next to the sink . It is a hand pump for use in the kitchen . The well pumps have a much longer trunk on them then this one . I have the old well pump that came off a well at a place my parents bought quite a few years ago . They used the well until the county brought a water line out to their house . So they took down the old well pump and filled up the old well . I plan on making my pump into a water fountian out in the yard one of these days .
