    This pair of blacksmith forged lifting tongs had some special purpose that I can't understand. Unlike ordinary Ice Tongs, that close to pince the ice block between two sharp points, this pair of tongs seems to bypass with hooked ends when it is lifted of pulled by the ring.
    I haven't found an example like these. ANYONE?

      Lotsa "grab hooks" on Google and they all look like . . . wait for it . . .
