Can anyone please identify what I think is an antique inkwell which I found recently in West Africa. Most likely imported from Europe in the past. Hopefully the makers mark in picture Ink(4) will be a good clue for one of you experts in this field.
Size is 26 x 16 x 7 mm and the metals it is made from look like brass and steel with braised joints, BUT the weight is an incredible 5.3 kilograms !
Sadly one of the glass 'inks wells' measuring 4.5 x 3.5 mm was broken.
Many thanks in advance for any information you can give.
