old 18th century picture

this picture i purchased at an estate sale . looks like from the early 18th century .or earlier . it is doner on heavy canvas and a wood stretcher,, the back is in pooe condition . everything tattered and torn , the picture itself .is in exelent condition , it is done without color . i haven seen no signature or writing . i dont know if the reframed the picture . there are on the top and bottom white strips to hold the stretcher in to the frame .. it is a beautiful picture . i hope there may be someone who knows something about this picture . and where it came from ..
