    ran across this at a hobby store and wondered what it was. moving the wheels causes a few gears to rotate. I"m assuming the brass component was the water jacket.

      Very cool! Could it be a steam driven machine of some sort? Perhaps a steam driven toy? Just a guess.

      Put water in the "bulb", a fire underneath, and away you go. Probably use some type of alcohol burner or pellet. Neat.
