I bought this Carnival Glass Bowl this morning for a snip (£1.50), thinking it looked like Brockwitz Glass, but after fruitlessly looking on line, for patterns including diamonds and ribbons, I discovered it's actually Sowerby Glass (made in the N E England) and is called Pineapple, or Bow, pattern number 2349, which was made with ordinary glass from 1912, and Carnival Glass from the 1920's. I think it's supposed to be a sugar bowl, but would be great for candy or nuts too.

This was in a local furniture hospice charity shop, in an industrial estate, but I ofyen pick up interesting bits and pieces there.
