What a cute couple, dressed in ethnic costumes - I would agree with you probably souvenir dolls, I remember this type sold in a Bahamian bazaar when on a youthful vacation, they had different countries i.e. Spanish ladies with mantillas. Now you have to wait for someone to recognize their country, it could be Greek, Slavic etc, not sure - nice post
