Great tool what is it?? Stamped 2 on side. Appears to be copper color on handle still cleaning. Help to solve mystery!

This is the business end of an old tinsmith's soldering iron - missing the handle. The big lump on the end is copper. It was heated on a coal forge or a small gas furnace.

I have one of those someplace. The handle on yours was likely made of wood, like mine. I've wondered how old mine is, too. As I recall, it is unmarked. I'll have to see if I can find it.
