      "Underwriters laboratories" was applied, usually as a small glued on stamp - it merely indicated the product had been tested and was safe to use, as I recall.
      It was not a brand.
      That style was around in the 1960s. It went along with the long shag carpet that you not only had to vacuum, but then you raked it to make all the strands go in the same direction.
      It may have been called Mediterranean style.
