    I can't make out what this person wrote in 1912. The writing is there and clear but the penmanship is poor. Sad but penmanship is a thing of the past anyway, right?

      Some of the worst penmanship examples I have are from a Civil War soldier. Penmanship has, in general, decreased; but there has always been awful penmanship, and there will always be good penmanship. I have awful penmanship, but I also can't draw a straight line. Hah hah.
