I think it's from an old printing press. Design is backwards and the other side is blank. No date on it.

Purity were a Canadian firm set up in 1924 in Newfoundland. Still manufacturing.
Looks like it was used to print advertising posters for Stores or displays. There is not any indication that it was for a news paper ad. Find someone who can print that on some heavy stock and frame them side by side. I have a Old ad Printing plate of 1960 Stereos and will be doing the same to it. Kewl!!
