I have no clue how old is this brooch but it has a feel of vintage. Like it was passed on to generation. It is gorgeous and the stone is garnet colored rhinestones and gold-tone filigree brooch. Too bad, I can't find any signature in the back.

1960's or 70's? The reason I say that is the filigree setting is a little lighter weight than the old masters. But, it's nice. Great color too.

      Beautiful Brooch Rockit!
The center stone is known as a Rivoli, some call this particular one a "volcano" due to it's firey appearance... I have a brooch with these stones, I love Rivoli's!
Also the pin mechinism is the type used in "better" pieces, the only type you will find on my brooches, kinda picky I am....
Your profile picture...Sure brings back memories, as I used to work at Bob's Big Boy. :)

@Ms.CrystalShip...thanks for more. Now I know it is not really garnet but it is garnet colored (lol). I never have seen an actually Big Boy restaurant (isn't it?). That one is actually standing outside Tonopah Hotel and Casino in Tonopah, California. I used to call it Fat Boy because that's what I taught his name was.

Bob's Big Boy closed their doors in my area years ago, I worked at the one in Pismo Beach, Calif.
Back then you could get a double burger with the works, fries, and salad for a whooping $1.99! When they first opened, the Classic Combo was .65!
There's only 5 Bob's left in California, but I have read that there's close to 300 in Japan.
Off topic, but still fun subject!
      And call me Eileen :)
