In search of information

Looking for info on a recent purchase of 6 MCM chairs. I believe they are "Cat's eye". Can anyone tell me who the maker would be and the wood type. The finish is wore off the back rest of a few of the chairs and before I refinish them I would like to know what wood I am dealing with. A am not a collector, I purchased only because I like the look. I am having a really difficult time finding any info on these chairs.
