Inherited what seems to me to be a fairly old model boat, definitely older than 40 years. Looking for info on it!

Inherited this model boat after my parents passed. It has been in the family on a shelf since I can recall, likely around at least 40 years. Looking to learn more about the boat, particularly regarding how old it might be, if some of you experts might know who may have built it and how to clean it as I believe it has never been cleaned and has a bit of a scent...

Lastly, if any of you'd venture a guess re value, I'd appreciate it. It has loads of sentimental value so not looking to sell but would rather want to include it in our home owners insurance policy just in case.
