I have this strange necklace that I would like to know more about. It is about 21 inch long and consists of what looks like carved beads on a cord with special knots. I am not sure but I think the cord might be some kind of raw silk cord? Might be chinese? Ideas?
This is not my style but I am interested in the knots and the beads.

Thanks Val, Newfld and Ms.ChrystalShip for nice coments. Ms.ChrystalShip it might not be silk and it might look like nylon but it is not syntetic, that I am sure about.
