I'm curious about how this came to Nova Scotia Canada. This is a rare piece with historic interest for any veterans or interested people who collect nostalgic art pieces. This is in excellent condition framed with the plaque on the front of the artwork. The art of laquer work has always interested me as an artist and find that the long process is so time-consuming with a beautiful end product that endures over time as long as it is kept dry and safe.
