    These are my "date nails' from the Nevada Copper Belt railroad, and some from the Carson and Colorado. They were driven into wooden ties, to give the road maintenance crews knowledge of how long that particular tie was in place, and when to replace it with new ones. I have somehow lost a few..they will turn up. Earliest appears to be 1911..newest is 1940.
