Does anyone know what kind of accordion this is? I bought it used, and was told that it was a Hohner Pokerworks. I contacted Hohner was told that it is definitely not one of theirs. The only sign on it says "made in German Democratic Republic."

This kind of button accordion is popular in Newfoundland, Canada, while on the other coast of Canada in British Colombia, you'd be lucky to find one like this.

That looks like a Weltmeister Accordion. Most I've seen have a tag on the back that says "made in east Germany". I have one with a tag that says "made in Germany" and I assume it predates the second world War. Mine is a single row c.
