Here is the before and afters of a nightstand that I have completely refinished. I picked it up at a yard sale in Southwick and it was literally rotting away in a puddle under a tent with tone of other furniture. I have no idea when it was made or who made it. But I know the original backing is a modern cork- like material used on dressers or shelves. I would really like to get some information on it.

I can't give you a maker but we had a set the same design we bought in the mid 1980's at the local department store. They stood up well and weren't at all expensive.
