Antique 14 kt. solid gold watch-fob dated 1883 and artistically inscribed on the reverse: Don Alonso De Bazan. This piece is 1 inch in diameter. The front is carved and enameled in blue. I will be seeking the history of this item in the future; I believe it came from the Mexican Teritories and was a possesion of an important governer. This was found in a New York estate.

In Marbella Spain the house of the Mayor Don Alonso de Bazán, later this man gave the palace to the city and then it was an hospital for the poor people.Right now this beautiful building is the MUSEUM OF SPANISH CONTEMPORARY ENGRAVINGS.

Your answer may have brought up another question. What do the figures on the other side indicate as there is no "K" in the Spanish alphabet?
