Sledge hammers

Hi,

I’ve been doing some digging in my garden, removing a massive mound. I’ve found a lot of bottles and crockery, also these sledge hammer heads. Any idea of age? Also what is the thing at the bottom?! It’s very small! I thought it might be a knife but my friend thinks it’s a file!
