I am not sure what this box is used for. I thought it could hold a medal. Then I thought it could hold snuff. I have looked for the signature to no avail. It looks very French but I am hoping the CW gang might help me find the maker and its use. Thanks

Has more of a Ruskie feel to me.

Hi blunderbuss2 what because of the style or the signature ?
    3. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 4 years ago
The relief design reminds me of Ruskie military designs on military pins and ceremonial decorations. The torch ? I don't know.

Hi blunderbuss2 could be. I'm looking at it as an Olympic torch with laurel leaves of peace. But the signature looks very French ????

Maybe Moscow, KS ? LOL. Really not much to go on.
