My mom bought this in an auction. The frame is in bad shape, but it looks to be made of gesso. There is not a signature, but it has a number in the back of the board backing the piece. The glass is old because it is wavy. Anyone know if it is a Japanese silk embroidery?
You should post 3 more pictures, such as the items you mentioned in the text. It sounds very interesting and is beautiful.
