Most of the colourful Chinese porcelain we see today - incl. in cw - is made in Chinese factories in the 20th or 21st century for export to the West in what the Chinese perceive as the Western taste for Chinese porcelain. Neither the Chinese themselves nor any serious collector outside China would want any of it. The serious collectors want the very old. Here's an example from my collection: A stoneware bowl - probably for rice or soup - with 'Lung-chüan yao' or celadon glazing. Made in Chinese province Fukien during the Yüan (1279-1368) dynasty, sometime in the 13th or 14th century. Diam. 17.0 cm. Height 6.5 cm.
