I have an Indestructo trunk that I believe belonged to Jack London. Does anyone know if the company that made it has any sales records etc to verify ownership?

There was something like 40 or 50 trunk dealers across the United States that sold the Indestructo Trunk line over at least a 20 year span. This light weight ,well made, veneer trunk was made by the thousands. It would be highly unlikely to find individual purchase records of this sort. I don't believe that this manufacturer individually numbered their trunks, but they could have. It took me a few years just to find the trunk patents. Here just a few of those patent image links, that are over a 15 year span created by Mr. Herman Romunder.
There is also widespread advertising on the internet for the Indestructo lines of trunks. As for verifying the whole Jack London , Joan London, John Lennon, Jerry Lewis angle. Without known personal affects or a signature on the item, that could be a very difficult mountain to climb. Much Luck with it! Thanks for the post.
