Does anyone have any ideas what this small box was used for? It's around W12", H6", D5". The front is beautifully hand carved with two dragons and a central 'bat'. Small side drawer and top opens.

promising i lack the skill for this i can,t see it is 50 (the tarnishing way is used in planters 50ties) or fin the siecle the wrong side of it
