    Hello, I have a levi jacket I bought in the 80's. It has a very large leather tag on the inside back. I have never seen one like it. There are 3 letters & 3 numbers on the large tag lower right side ( WPL 423 ). Can you help me with any information on this jacket?

      What I found and learned today...

      WPL stands for the Wool Products Labeling registration number issued as far back as 1939 based on the Wool Products Labeling act..Every textile company manufacturing US made goods is issued an RN or WPL number, and for Levi Strauss it is WPL 423
