This has been in my family since before I was born in 1968. My father was stationed in Taipei and was also in Korea so not at all sure where it actually came from. I wondered what the markings meant.
Some kind of drum brought back to states by my parents before I was born. | ||

The markings appear to show a band. I would say this is a tourist item or perhaps purchased at the PX for a few dollars as a decoration.
Anything is possible. Do you have any idea what the carving are about?
