    This belonged to my Great Great Great grandfather who more than likely brought it with him from Ireland. The markings suggest it was forged between 1830 and 1837.
    Can anyone tell me anything else about this knife?

      The overall shape tends to remind me of boning and skinning knives we used years ago skinning out and butchering.
