This one I bought in 1961 from a fine Civil War digger/dealer who found it in the general
Richmond area. This is one of the very first Civil War relics I ever bought. I was 13. It cost me only $5. He did not know that it was Confederate, and neither did I!
This one had no side loading hole, so it was made to explode the pieces of the projectile into
the enemy lines. This one weighs about 8 LBS 4 ounces.
