A GIFT TO MY MOM AND I INHERITED IT, HAS A NAME ON IT AMBASSADOR SILVER/STAINLSS . I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS USED FOR BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A PIE SERVER, WHY THE FORK ATTTACHED TO IT?

Beautiful. I believe what you have is generally referred to as sandwich or pastry tongs.

Here is a similar pair:
