Ive only been acquiring lamps for a few months and I haven't the slightest idea what this type is considered to be. Its really cool though.

Short globe with a large bail handle were used on the railroads back before and after the turn of the century. Is it marked at all?
Thank you for the info. There's a vague patent mark on the bottom. Besides that there's no markings.
