      Well it is probably Edwardian. My grandfather had something similar but not the crocodile finish. Each corner has Birmingham, England hallmarks. The date letter is Z for 1899 so it is late Victorian. The maker’s Mark is HM for Henry Marshall : “ Purse & cigar case manufacturer, Highbury Leather Works, Corsica Street, Highbury, London”.

      I believe it may be snakeskin? I guess it could be croc/aligator belly or a baby.
