This is an old teddy and I would love to be able to establish his age and make. He is 16 inches tall, stuffed with wood fibre and has beige felted hands, brown felted feet and glass eyes. His special feature is a wee tail that has a mechanism that moves his his head.

Thank you. That's what I thought. Do know if there is anyway to tell if it's a 1920 original or a 1950s remake?
They have made these over a number of years hard to tell without examining him. The pads look newer and his nose stitching isn't perfect has less thread than usual. I would take a hunch he is more modern . They made these up till 1970s .
Thanks. I have placed new felt over the paws and feet. I left the old underneath but it has disintegrated. He also has a carefully darned hole on the left hand underside of his nose. He looks pretty old close up and has been well loved.
