Asian serving set

Is this a Japanese tea set and if so can you tell the manufacturer from symbol on the bottom? This belonged to my mother in law who lives in Hawaii, Indonesia and Kenya and I assume she acquired it in about the 1950s of early 1960s. Saucer is about 5 1/2 inches and cup opening is about 3 1/2. It is a set of 6 with cream and sugar pieces as well. The symbols at the bottom has a triangle with a TF inside.
