I think that this is an antique one. It's made of 5 panels, sewn together and is 70 inches long. From what i've read about them, the 20th c ones look different - aniline dyes etc. But it's confusing because it looks in such perfect condition. ?? It was made in northern Afghanistan - along the Uzbek border. I read that many of the designs in these can be traced all the way back to the Neolithic from the pottery found in these parts. i found it at the thrift store.
